Law Firms Prepare for Slowdown After Record Demand

The Wall Street Journal  featured Leopard Solutions’ hiring data in their article about law firm slowdowns following a period of high demand.

WSJ referenced our data on how law firms are seeking growth opportunities in other practice areas, such as litigation. According to our data, the top 100 grossing law firms saw a 13% reduction in the number of lateral associate hires from January 1st to November 15th. Within that time frame, lateral partner hires increased by 17%.

“We see the big law firms reverting back to pre-pandemic normalcy,” said Phil Flora, Leopard Solutions’ Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “Jobs are closing, and they aren’t refilling positions if people leave.”
