Recruiter Tips: Improving Your Employer Appeal

by Beverly Aarons 19. September 2011 13:32

Even the best recruiters are having trouble attracting and keeping the attention of employers who are hiring. In a job market which is crowded for both recruiters and job seekers, smart recruiters need to work on making their company appealing to those employers ready to place job orders. Below are a few tips:

  1. Keep a professional image online. Your website and online materials should be clean and easy to navigate. It doesn’t need to be fancy or chock full of the latest gadgets; but it should give off the image of a professional recruiter. Online presence is very important because most people will run your name or the name of your company through a search engine first before agreeing to a meeting.
  2. Make it easy for employers to connect to you.  Having easy to access contact information may seem like a no-brainer; but it’s often the simplest things which are overlooked. Recruiters should make contacting them easy by providing at least an email and phone number. Also, be sure to quickly respond to employers. Fast response times will make a good impression.
  3. Highlight the benefits of working for your recruiting company.  Recruiters looking to attract top employers need to make it clear how they stand out from the crowd. Whatever marketing materials the recruiter uses should place in the forefront how the recruiter will add value to the employer’s hiring efforts.
