Is Your Legal Recruiter Website Mobile Ready?

by Beverly Aarons 18. March 2011 09:24
About 25 percent of Americans use smartphones and it is predicted that by 2012 that number will jump to as much as 50 percent.  For legal recruiters who want to capture the attention of job candidates and clients on the go, having a mobile ready website is critical.  Below are a few tips on how to make your website mobile friendly:

1.     Consider using a mobile conversion plug-in which can convert your existing legal recruiter website into an easy to read mobile version. See a list here.

2.     Consider creating a micro legal recruiter subdomain site specifically designed for mobile phones.

3.     A legal recruiters’ mobile website should only include information which mobile users wants such as: job postings, contact information, access to their log-in information if you have job candidate or client accounts setup on your site.

4.     A legal recruiter’s mobile site should be designed for a screen size of 320 by 240 pixels.

5.     All content on a legal recruiter’s mobile website should be short. Photo and other media should be small.

6.     Give the mobile user the option to block downloading photos and other media because it eats up bandwidth and can be costly for the user.

7.     Do not include large advertisement banners on the screen because they can delay the downloading time of your mobile website.
