The Leopard
Pride network is a great tool to add to your job search arsenal. The Leopard
Pride network allows you the opportunity connect to other job seekers and legal
recruiters in a friendly and welcoming environment. Below are a few tips on how
to get the Leopard Pride Network to work for you:
1.
Customize
your avatar. While it’s okay to use one of the default emoticons as your
avatar, ideally job seekers should upload a personal photo. Log into Leopard Pride, click “manage
account” and then click “change photo” to upload a personal picture of
yourself.
2.
Fill
out your profile. Job seekers who want to maximize the benefits of the Leopard
Pride network need to take the time to fill out their Leopard Pride Profile.
Simply log in, click on “manage account” and then click “edit profile” to
update your profile information.
It doesn’t need to be complex but it should read like a short summary of
your work experience and skills.
3.
Update
your status on the Leopard Pride network to let potential employers and legal
recruiters know what you’re up to.
Are you attending a networking event? Did you recently take a class that
was legal related? Maybe you did a little volunteer work that helped others
with their legal issues. Whatever
it is, take the time to put a short blurb about your recent activity in your
Leopard Pride status bar.
4.
Upload
videos or blogs on a topic that you’re passionate about. While sending out resumes is one way to
find a job, posting an ongoing blog or video series that highlights your skills
and experience is a great way to stand out. For example, if you’re a litigation attorney you may want to
talk about the latest cases that have got you thinking. Or, if you’re a
student, you may want to give legal recruiters tips on how to best appeal to
twenty-something law student grads.
